Aero Vega has from one to three flights daily depending on demand between Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca City in a 7-passenger Cessna. Aerotucán operates a 13-passenger Cessna Caravan and offers service between Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca and between Huatulco and Oaxaca. Tickets are available at travel agencies in those cities.Mexicana Airlines has service from the U.S. to Puerto Escondido(PXM) and close by to Huatulco airport with departures from Canada, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Newark, and San Antonio. Taking a taxi from Puerto Escondido airport can vary if you wish to take a van (share with other people) it will take approx 1/2 hour and tickets can be purchased to the left of the arrival gate and the cost will vary from New Pesos $80 (approx UDS$10).A private taxi can run approx 60 $120 depending on the time of year etc .For large items such as surfboards take the van.Also note for your information these taxi drivers and we know most of them are very reliable good guys with good reputations they will do the right thing for you.Taking a taxi from the Huatulco airport you will pay approximately $100.00 USD to get to Puerto Escondido, or you can walk out the entrance to the airport and catch a Puerto bus at the gat here for about $4.00.Hualulco airport offers large taxi van transportation from the Huatulco Airport to Puerto Escondido for 80 pesos per person if the van is full (3/01).
